We have chickens !

Well after talking about it for ages we happened to be at a farm shop looking for a hutch for a rabbit when we saw the chickens and said "why not" ! So suddenly our car was filled with 2 pens and 3 chickens ( the rabbit is to be picked out on Alex's Birthday !) That car trip home was funny , listening to the coos and stratching then for the last half and hour - THE SMELL !

Alex now wants to be called "farmer Alex"

Is there anything better that watching children playing in the garden with chickens running about ? They love racing out every morning to let them out and give them their crusts from their toast !!! I love watching them pecking about all day - a strangely calming creature ! Looking forward to the next month or so till they give us their first eggs !
