one lonely finch left...

    When we began our "zoo" Shaun bought 6 finches... a couple of cheaper Zebra finches and some more exotic varieties... A lot of $$$ for birds !! Anyway Caspar the cat joined our family and liked to sit on top of the cage which we thought was kind of cute ?? Well the cat soon worked out how to undo the cage and away flew 4 birds or really away flew $100 bills ! So we had two left till last Sunday morning, when found one dead in the bottom of the cage ! So i told Alex and he decided he wanted to see it...luckily my dad was there to wrap it up for me !! Yuck ! Anyway we had a "funeral" for it...Alex noted aloud that he "was a bit sad but birds don't live very long so it happens !"

 Later on he made two kites....one for him and one for Erin which they "flew" for ages ! It was a sunny day and windless so it was more of a run and drag behind but they loved it !
