The BIG yellow duck

  The big yellow duck was in Darling Harbour for the Sydney festival, i had thought about going but it wasn't till a brief conversation with my friend Karen that we decided spur of the moment to go in the next day and see it ! So "going to the city" is pretty exciting stuff for my kids so we combined it with a trip to the dinosaur museum ! We left home just before lunch as we wanted to see the duck at night

lunch stop in the park

erin and zack in the kids spot

let me out !

we actually ran into a friend of his from school Mylo !

then i walked them to the Apple store to see if my wet phone could be fixed !

as a reward we went on the monorail !

The duck !!

we killed some time waiting for Karen to meet us at the tooth playground !!! we all survived unhurt, met up with Karen then had dinner and waited till it was dark.

karen making erin pose !

yes i know ... duck overkill but i felt like every angle is saw it from it looked better !

 We finally headed home and walked to Central station, when we arrived there was a train due in one min, Karen said run we will make it.... so we ran and carried Erin in the pram up the stairs with Zack on my back....  and we made it !! We were so proud of ourselves ,laughing away we missed the announcement that this train wasn't going to Marrickville afterall and went straight to Hurstone Park ! So here we are at 9.45pm waiting for a train home ! It was a loooong day but everyone was happy which made it alot easier !

    The 'Tooth' Park?? Surely there's more to the story! A chipped tooth perhaps once upon a time? Actually, that rings a bell.
    Love that big duck by the way. But I wish they'd had a giant sized bar of soap and a scrubbing brush too!
