Alex is 5 !!!

So.... my baby boy has turned 5 ! There are alot of photos in this blog - of course !!! The birthday celebrations began on Thursday as he goes to Goanna Patch on Thursday. We made a cake to take in and share, which we covered in plastic dinosaurs. He had a great day and loved handing out the small dinosaur toys to all the kids ! It felt like "groundhog day" for me as i replicated it all again for pre school on Friday !

After preschool and tennis lessons we headed down the beach. 

As he is now 5 he decided he was old enough to cook sausages on a bbq ( no idea why ??) so we invited our neighbours and had a birthday bbq ! 

After going to a party over a year ago, he often bought up the "smashing cake", i was dreading it to be honest but though a tad messy it came out ok and he was very excited ! He didn't know about it till i brought it out - the only "kid hammer" i could find was a very light one for putting pins in a corkboard game he has so it took a few cracks to smash it !

no, he didn't eat all that !! 

Lastly a little video of the last 5 years, as usual a bit rushed but gee i love looking at photos like that...watching him grow so fast ! 

As i type, he is sound asleep (with his Lego box on his bed), a very happy 5 year old !
