Elephant rides...

So, we did the touristy thing and rode an elephant ! I was worried Erin would scream when it moved but she really enjoyed it ! They elephants seemed very well cared for, well fed and happy, as happy as an elephant can be. We went for a short 30 min ride up into the forest which was really hilly and so it was a bouncy ride ! It was so much like horse riding....the elephant dragging itself slowing on the way, stopping to eat and sniff, then when he knew he was homeward bound we raced home ! Knowing that they are fed bunches of bananas at the end !! Alex lost his flip flop at one point, and much to his horror the elephant picked it up but left it covered in "elephant snot !" !!!
