Well we had to have "the dummy fairy" ceremony as well ! Alex did it and we have been talking about it for months now !!!
She gathered up all her dummies and placed them in a basket ..
Had one last suck !!!
We wrote a letter ...
Took them to the cubby house !! ( could she have chosen a colder, darker place for the poor Dummy Fairy to get to at 10pm !!)
And in the morning ... She got Play doh !!!!
And with no exaggerating, she pretty much stayed here all day playing with it !!!
So thats it....Erin is officially a "big girl " ! There was a slight pang of guilt or sadness when i gave her the dummy for one last suck. She went all starey and quiet and looked so peaceful...i nearly changed my mind !! My baby may be gone but in its place as a funny, cheeky, full of love and life... amazing little girl ! Very proud of my big girl ! x
Wow...the dummy fairy sure is generous! I hope Mummy kept a dummy for the keepsakes box. I kept two each of Harry's and Till's dummies - how sentimental is that!!!!!!
