The big day...

The first day of school ... everyone says the same thing but it only seems like yesterday we arrived in Oz with a 10 month old baby and now he is going to BIG SCHOOL !! The whole school holidays we have talked and talked about big school .... Alex was dying to get there ! He is in Mrs Youngs K-1 class with most of his close friends so he was even happier ! He had a fantastic first day, walked in confidently and told me that we could go now !!! Beware.... lots of photos !

We picked him up and he ran outside with a huge grin on his face, he said it was great ! We went home and had a little "party" !

mummy : how was your day ?

Alex : good

mummy:  what did you do ?

Alex:  things

mummy:  like what

Alex : i can't remember

mummy: did you paint or draw ?

Alex: Uh huh ( in between mouthfuls of cake )

guess i better get used to this kind of conversation ! 

We couldn't be happier that he is going to Bundeena Public School. Its a tiny school of under 200 students and 8 teachers , where the big kids play and respect the little ones. Already i'm seeing big kids saying "see ya" to Alex ! Though its been raining and they haven't really been outside much it is a dream playground...tress, rocks and grass and bush everywhere  (see here) ... very lucky boy... i grew up on concrete !
