Well, we finally started "real" lessons. They obviously play in the ocean and pools but have never had official swimming lessons.... many reasons...Sutherland pool was MASSIVE and noisy, i have been either pregnant or breastfeeding and basically didn't want to get in the pool !! ... but now finally we are doing it !!! We have found an awesome purpose built swim school called Little Fins. The first week both Alex and Erin cried...only for a few minutes but it killed me !!!
Alex has gone from lesson one saying he will not put his head under to lesson two..head under, floating, and swimming to the instructor !
Erin too has developed so fast...i thought it would take weeks of that weird near drowning type swimming that i've watched with other friends kids. But she is happily floating and practising strokes...she is smiling the whole time...they have to keep reminding her to close her mouth when she blows bubbles !!

The only crazy part of this is the only day i could do was a Tuesday at 3.30pm at Kirrawee. So its 2.50pm pick up then through the Nat park hoping i don't get caught behind a slow driver !!
So far we have arrived with plenty of time to spare !
